Privacy Policy
This policy explains what information sleepclinicsau.com collects, what we never collect, and what rights you have. The short version: we have no user accounts, we do not sell personal information, and the only personal information we hold is what you send us in a review — plus the technical logs every web server keeps. We do use cookies: with your permission, we use analytics cookies to understand how the site is used, and advertising cookies so that Google can show you ads. You control this from the cookie banner. Last updated: 24 October 2026.
Information we collect
Server logs. Like nearly every website, our hosting provider records standard server logs — your IP address, the pages you request, the date and time, and your browser’s user-agent string. We use these only for security, abuse prevention, and troubleshooting. They are not used to build advertising profiles and we do not sell them. Note that if you accept advertising cookies, Google may receive advertising data from our third-party partners as described in the section on advertising below.
Reviews you submit. Our review form asks for a display name, a star rating, and your review text. When you submit a review we also record your IP address. That IP address is used solely to moderate spam and abuse, and it is never published alongside your review.
Reviews are public
Submitted reviews are checked by a moderator before publication. Once approved, a review is public: anyone visiting the site can read it, and search engines may index it. Please do not include medical details, your full name, or anything else you would not want the whole world to see. To have your review edited or removed, email us at the address below.
Third-party embeds
Clinic pages embed Google Maps iframes to show locations. When one of these maps loads, your browser requests content directly from Google, and Google’s own privacy policy applies to that request. We do not send Google any information about you beyond what the embed itself involves, and we do not use maps to track visitors.
Clinic data and corrections
All clinic listing details on this site are compiled from publicly available sources (see our About page). If you represent a clinic and would like information corrected, expanded, or removed, email [email protected] and we will review your request promptly.
Cookies and your choices
We use cookies and similar technologies. A cookie banner appears the first time you visit, and nothing non-essential is set until you make a choice. You can accept all cookies, reject non-essential cookies, or turn individual categories on and off. Your choice is stored for 12 months, and you can change it at any time through the cookie preferences link in the site footer.
Strictly necessary
These are always on because the site cannot function without them. They remember your cookie consent choice and keep the site secure.
Analytics
With your permission we use Google Analytics (Google Tag Manager) to see which pages are useful and how visitors move through the site. This uses first-party cookies to count visits. You can read how Google handles data in its partner sites privacy documentation.
Advertising
With your permission we use Google AdSense to display advertisements. Google and its partners may use cookies (or similar technologies) to serve and measure ads based on your prior visits to this and other websites. Google may use advertising cookies to serve ads based on your visits to this site and/or other sites on the internet.
You can opt out of personalised advertising by visiting Google Ads Settings. You can also opt out of third-party vendor cookies for personalised advertising at aboutads.info/choices. If you are in the European Economic Area, the United Kingdom, or Switzerland, you may also change your choices through Your Online Choices.
Google Maps embeds
Clinic pages embed Google Maps to show locations. When a map loads, your browser requests content directly from Google and Google’s own privacy policy applies to that request.
Your privacy rights
We handle personal information in line with the Privacy Act 1988 (Cth), including the 13 Australian Privacy Principles (APPs). You have the right to request access to the personal information we hold about you, to ask us to correct it, and to ask how it is used. Because we hold so little personal information, handling these requests is straightforward: email [email protected] and describe what you need.
If you believe we have not handled your personal information properly, you can make a complaint to us using the address above; we take complaints seriously. If you are not satisfied with our response, you may complain to the Office of the Australian Information Commissioner (OAIC) via oaic.gov.au, or by calling 1300 363 992.
Changes to this policy
If we change this policy, the updated version will be posted on this page with a new effective date. Questions about privacy are always welcome at [email protected].
